Top 3 accessories to look good and stay warm this season.

10 Oct http://www.tweedvixen.co.uk/muffs-43-c.asp

This season is all about the accessories that will look cute and keep you cosy.  TweedVixen top three AW2012 must have accessories are:

Knee High Socks

A key look this winter and a personal favorite of mine is long socks and boots.  I love this look as it is not only a look that rocks but also the best way to stay warm.  As the temperature drops simply put over a pair of ribbed tights and match with your favorite tweed skirt. For the boutique I chose to stock these Samantha Holmes Alpaca socks.

Snoods

A snood is the perfect AW accessory.  When the chill starts to get in the air but it is still too warm for heavy coats, simply slip on a snood. They instantly add a layer of warm and look  really chic.  They are also a great way to add a hood to any outfit when you need to quickly warm your ears.  If your budget allows the ultimate snood is one made of cashmere as it will be super soft and warm.  For the boutique I chose a 100% Cashmere snood from the home of cashmere; Johnstons of Elgin.

Muffs

I absolutely adore the retro chic look of a muff!  They are not only a super way of keeping your paws warm but are the ultimate quirky accessory. Ideal those who want to stand out from the crowd and have their own sense of style! I chose to stock the made in England super soft faux fur muffs of Moore & Moore.

Chanel 2010

8 Aug

As a rule I like to promote British tweed designers and manufacturers but the latest Chanel winter collection shows in a very exaggerated manner how big tweed and faux fur are going to be.  The collection is a bit mad and cooky but has some amazing tailoring and textures. Aspects of this collection will surly be huge for Autumn winter 2010.  The prices are predictably Chanel a wool dress being £5,2010 and faux fur boots £520, these prices are crazy!  The look is easily achievable in far lower prices but still with quality brands.  The price for quality however will always be above most high street chains.
