Harris Tweed – From Shearing To Stamping

31 Aug

Another great Tweed video!

Richard's Notes

Harris Tweed – From Shearing To Stamping from HTA on Vimeo.

This is quite amazing. Just went to the closet to check my old Patagonia travel sport coat to see if Chouinard used Harris for his “herringbone” wool coat. No, but the wool is mighty nice. I bought two of them fifteen years ago on sale in Freeport, Maine at the Patagonia outlet there.

Laura Barton | How to wear tweed | Harrods Magazine, September 2012

31 Aug

I thought I would share this little video from Harrods magazine as it put a smile on my face. I love the phrase “wearing this most British of fabrics isn’t just a fashion choice, it’s a civic duty.” However, although it is said tongue in cheek, I do disagree when she says “one must wear tweed with an air of entitlement” I would love to know what you think!
